Therapy Intensives for ADHD Adults in Winston Salem
In Progress Therapy is now offering ADHD intensives for adults (18+). ADHD intensives offer focused, brain-friendly support that prioritizes skill-building, regulation, and real-time practice—helping adults with ADHD make meaningful progress without the slow pace or fragmentation of weekly therapy. Our 4-hour intensives are ADHD-friendly by allowing time for breaks and movement, making room for flexible pace, providing visuals and assessments, and emphasizing collaboration and a strengths based approach. This is not a diagnosis evaluation. You may participate if you already have a diagnosis or if you suspect you have ADHD.
An intensive may be right for you if you:
Feel stuck doing traditional week to week sessions
Struggle with consistency and focus across many weeks of sessions
Want additional support that complements current treatment and/or medication management
Thrive with sustained, deeper focus across various topics rather than restarting every week
Why Clients Choose Intensives
Create momentum through sustained focus
Week to week therapy can feel like starting over at times. Intensives allow for longer periods where we can dive into multiple topics in one day.
Beneficial to the ADHD brain
As an ADHD person myself, showing up every week with the same focus can be challenging. Intensives are designed to get more work done in a day, but also allow for breaks, and spreading attention to various topics and skill building.
Focus on skill building and insight
At times one hour sessions can feel more like processing insights than building skills. The intention of intensives is to allow time for both so that you can leave with real tools to apply right away while still having a deeper understanding of how your brain functions.
Deeper emotional regulation work
Longer sessions give us time to learn emotional regulation skills as well as put them into practice to work through activation if it arises.
Complement current or ongoing treatment
Intensives can be completed if you are currently in therapy or can be used as one-time treatment. Intensives are a great resource to complement medication management and ongoing therapies. Intensives are a great option if you are finding yourself “stuck” in traditional treatment or if you are wanting to build a strong foundation to continue therapy afterwards.
Custom plan that fits your needs
While traditional therapy can be tailored to fit your needs, intensives create more time to explore personalized strategies and examination of how your ADHD impacts you and your daily functioning.
